We all know that each generation has its own language. Do you remember words your parents never used, or that your kids use different words for familiar concepts? Society has evolved significantly with the emergence of the Internet first and later social media, and young people have adopted their own language that can sometimes be hard for those of us who are not so young to follow.

  • Ap: Term used to refer to a platonic love
  • BFF: "Best Friend Forever", a phrase that describes a very good friendship
  • Cringe: To feel embarrassed for something or someone
  • Funar: Public act of aggravation or accusation on social media to warn about a reprehensible fact
  • Ghosting: Ignoring someone. For example, when someone reads our WhatsApp messages (we see the double blue tick) but does not respond
  • Haul: Video where someone shows their latest purchases
  • Klk: Abbreviation of "what's up?"
  • Npc: Person who acts in a dehumanized way like a video game character
  • Pack: Set of intimate photos and videos
  • "Rawr": Way of saying "I love you"
